The Fourth Day

Due to the aforementioned lack of outdoor running gear (see The Third Day) my runs will have to remain confined to the gym until at least the weekend, when I can buy something other than the black hoodie, black leggings, no hat, no gloves outfit I went out in yesterday.

Today’s Janathon installment was a trip to the gym (not visited for a few months, except for a few classes). Again my lungs were my own worst enemy, as the asthma took hold only about 5 minutes into my run on the treadmill. Stupidly, I left my inhaler (and headphones) in the car, so without music or asthmatic relief I was only there for about 30 minutes.

The Fourth Day Stats:

  • Running: 2k
  • Cycling: 3k
  • Arm rowing (not sure what the technical term is): 1k
  • LOTS of leg weights and stretching

I’ve got asthma as well and I’ve had it for years. It’s actually recommended that you use you inhaler about 10 mins before any cardio. I just used mine cause I’m off to do Day 5 of Janathon.

Take care and all the best with Janathon.

Yes, some nice bright colours are in order for winter gear. As for gloves, I picked up a couple of pairs of fleecy ones in a pound shop a while ago. Warming, I don’t mind them getting mucky as they were cheap and because I got a pink pair and a beige pair, they make my hands look like either George or Zippy from Rainbow which is a bonus.

Keep up the good work… especially the arm rowing (which i don’t know the right word for either).
